2 charged in Buffalo burglary, 1 of them charged for additional burglaries
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two men have been arrested for a burglary in Buffalo, while one was charged for a string of burglaries throughout this year, the Buffalo Police Department said Thursday.
The arrests were made on March 7 during a burglary on the 2100 block of South Park Avenue, where one suspect was found on the roof and another was found in the basement. Damage on site was estimated around $15,000.
26-year-old Drayton Hall and 27-year-old Walter Dixon, both of Buffalo, are charged with the following:
third-degree burglary, one count
second-degree criminal mischief, four counts
fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, one count
possession of burglar’s tools, one count
third-degree criminal trespassing, one count
In addition, Dixon was charged in connection to three additional burglaries. The first was at a convenience store on Jefferson Avenue on Jan. 14, the second at a restaurant on Abbott Road on Feb. 11, and the third at a restaurant on Hertel Avenue on Feb. 28.
For those, Dixon is charged with the following:
third-degree burglary, three counts
third-degree grand larceny, one count
fourth-degree grand larceny, one count
third-degree criminal mischief, two counts
fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, three counts
fourth-degree criminal mischief, one count
petit larceny
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
