The “Ultimate House Hunt” consists of eight total categories. In addition to curb appeal and amazing kitchens, those are beachfront homes, downtown dwellings, waterside homes, homes with a history, outdoor escapes and countryside retreats.

Finalists are selected by HGTV editors, with the winner in each category chosen through online voting. The listing with the highest number of votes will be chosen as the overall favorite. Voting runs through 5 p.m. on Aug. 3.
