- We're following breaking news out of central Fresno this morning, where fire crews are responding to a two-story apartment fire. Now, this video, captured within the last hour from our ABC30 downtown Fresno skycam, where you can see the thick smoke that fire put up. Fresno fire crews were called to Belmont and Glenn Avenues just before 7:00 this morning and were met with massive flames coming from both the first and second stories.

Fire crews were able to quickly knock down the flames within 20 minutes. However, two families were displaced. Both the Red Cross and SPCA have been called to the scene to assist families. You're asked to avoid the area as crews are still there monitoring hot spots this morning. Downed power lines are also posing a hazard for both fire crews and anyone in that area. So please avoid it, if at all possible. Investigators, of course, looking into what sparked the blaze. And we'll keep you updated on air and online with any developments.
