2 found dead after overnight mobile home fire West of Lubbock

Two people died in a mobile home fire in western Lubbock County early Friday morning, according to information from the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office.

About 2:30 a.m, sheriff's deputies and multiple fire departments responded to a structure fire at 10619 Private Road 6860, just west of Lubbock and south of Reese Center. A mobile home was fully engulfed in flames when deputies arrived, the sheriff's office said. When firefighters arrived, they found an RV behind the home also on fire.

During the course of the response, two people were found dead, apparently victims of the fire, LSO said. Officials have not yet identified those individuals.

The Shallowater, West Carlisle and Wolfforth fire departments, EMS and the State Fire Marshal's Office all responded to the fire. Investigators were still on scene late Friday morning and have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
