2 hurt in 3-vehicle crash on US 6 in Madison Township

FREMONT — The Fremont Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle injury crash that occurred on U.S. 6 near mile post 8 in Madison Township.

The crash was reported at 6:26 a.m. Wednesday.

According to a patrol news release, a 2021 Ford F-550 pickup driven by Terry Reeves, 44, Dresden, Ohio, was traveling eastbound on U.S. 6 when it went left of center, striking a westbound 2016 driven by Ryan Brown, 33, Lorain.

Brown's vehicle went off the south side of the road and struck a ditch prior to coming to final rest. Debris from the initial impact struck a westbound 2019 Hyundai Accent being driven by Tain Cozette, 22, Fremont.

Brown was transported to Fremont ProMedica Hospital. Reeves was flown by LifeFlight to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. Cozette was not injured in the incident. The crash remains under investigation. No information was available from the hospitals on Brown or Reeves on Thursday.

The highway patrol was assisted at the scene by the Sandusky County Sheriff's Office, Gibsonburg Police Department, the Ohio Department of Transportation, Helena Fire Department, Sandusky County Life Squad, Madison Motors and Pat and Son Towing.
