2 injured in North Texas school bus crash with SUV on Friday morning, police say

Two people were injured Friday morning in a collision involving a Burleson school bus and an SUV, officials said.

No children were on the bus at the time of the accident, according to police.

Burleson police said in a social media post around 8:20 a.m. that they were working a major crash involving a school bus at the intersection of NW Summercrest and SW Wilshire Boulevard.

Police Chief Billy Cordell told the Cleburne Times-Review that the bus driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, and the driver of the SUV was was transported to a hospital via CareFlite. The condition of both drivers was unknown.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, according to the Cleburne Times-Review.
