2-killed after wrong-way crash south of Boulder City

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A wrong-way crash left two drivers dead south of Boulder City, according to Nevada State Police.

It happened on Sunday, April 7, along I-11 and mile marker 12 at 6:40 a.m.

NSP troopers responded to the area where according to the preliminary investigation a silver Hyundai Elantra was traveling the wrong way (southbound in the northbound travel lanes) on I-11 when it hit a gray Ford Escape that was traveling northbound in the far left lane of I-11.

The Hyundai’s right front struck the right front of the Ford. Both drivers were ejected from their vehicles and pronounced dead at the scene, NSP said.

The identities of the deceased will be released by the Coroner’s Office.
