2 men charged in killing of 6 people at central California home

Two men were charged Friday in the massacre of six people inside a central California home last month.

Noah David Beard, 25, and Angel “Nanu” Uriarte, 35, were detained early Friday morning in Tulare County, Sheriff Mike Boudreaux said.

Uriarte opened fire on the arresting federal agents, who returned fire, according to Boudreaux. Uriarte was hospitalized but expected to survive and face charges.

The two men are suspected of killing six people inside a house in Goshen on Jan. 16. Two of the victims were 16-year-old Alissa Parraz and her 10-month-old son.

Beard and Uriarte had been under round-the-clock surveillance since Jan. 23, according to Boudreaux.

The sheriff said the two suspects had a gang conflict with the victims’ relatives.

“I’m happy we were able to put these two men behind bars,” Boudreaux said. He did not specify the alleged gang-related conflict. Authorities also searched eight prison cells at five state prisons; all eight cells belonged to members of the Nuestra Familia prison gang.

Beard and Uriarte were each charged with six counts of murder.

Rosa Parraz, 72; Eladio Parraz, Jr., 52; Jennifer Analla, 49; Marcos Parraz, 19; Alissa Parraz, 16; and Nycholas Parraz, 10 months, were the victims.

Police released a video Friday that showed a teenage girl fleeing the house and placing a baby on the other side of a fence, then jumping over. Beard then killed the girl and the baby, cops said.

Nycholas Parraz had been in the foster system for months until Jan. 13, when he was reunited with his mother, Alissa. They were killed three days later.
