2 nursing home restaurants fail, 3 receive low scores in Arlington health inspections

Two restaurants/cafeterias in nursing homes failed and three restaurants received low scores in the most recent Arlington health inspections, according to city data.

Arlington inspection data is different in that Arlington does not release the violations, as Fort Worth does. Arlington inspections are also on a 100-point system that is different from Fort Worth. A score of 100 is a perfect score, and 70 is considered to be extremely poor.

There were 45 Arlington inspections from Feb. 12 to Feb. 18. No restaurants were closed.

Three restaurants received failing scores less than 75:

  • Town Hall Estates-Arlington Inc., at 824 West Mayfield Road, failed with a score of 64.

  • Texas Golden Age Adult Daycare, at 1115 West Pioneer Parkway, Suite 105, failed with a 70.

  • Chinese Barbeque, at 2206 South Collins Street, passed with a 72 and a follow up

Reinspections are required for restaurants that score 75 or less.

Three restaurants received perfect scores:

  • Go Puff, at 2016 East Randol Mill Road, Suite 413

  • Mini Melts of America, at 3811 South Cooper Street, Suite 6004

  • Nothing Bundt Cakes, at 839 East Lamar Boulevard

No restaurant had a follow-up inspection.
