2 people seriously injured in head-on crash on Vestal Parkway, police say

Two people sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle head-on crash Monday night in the town of Vestal.

The crash happened shortly before 11 p.m. on Vestal Parkway East, near the intersection with Plaza Drive, according to the Vestal Police Department.

Responding officers found a male and female victim with serious injuries. Both were transported to local hospitals for treatment, police said. Their conditions were not available.

Vestal police were assisted on the scene by the Broome County Sheriff's Office and several other emergency agencies.

The investigation into the crash is continuing, and police are asking witnesses or anyone with information to contact the Vestal Police Department at 607-754-2386.
