2 Sacramento County pizza places permanently closed their doors this month. Here’s where

The Sacramento area has two fewer pizza destinations after back-to-back closures this month.

Round Table Pizza Royalty at 2793 East Bidwell St. in Folsom, and Boston Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar at 5511 Sunrise Blvd. in Citrus Heights are closed.

Here’s what we know:

Round Table Pizza Royalty in Folsom is closed

Location: 2793 East Bidwell St. Suite 100, Folsom

Calls made to Round Table Pizza at East Bidwell St. in Folsom are routed to a nearby location less than 5 miles away at 1151 Riley St.

“This location is no longer open for business,” the chain states when customers attempt to order from Bidwell Street. “Please see our location at 1151 Riley Street to place an order.”

The California-based pizza chain —with locations in Texas, Hawaii, Arizona, Oregon, Washington and Nevada — uses “standard” ingredients to make “classic family recipes,” according to its website.

Round Table serves a variety of pizzas loaded with toppings, bone-in and boneless wings, sandwiches, baked bread, salad and cookies.

Boston Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar in Citrus Heights is closed

Location: 5511 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights

The phone, email address and website page of Boston Pizza’s Citrus Heights location at 5511 Sunrise Blvd. is no longer in service.

The only remaining California location is located in the southern portion of the state in Fontana, according to the restaurant’s website.

In an emailed response, spokeswoman Regan Lee with Boston Pizza confirmed the restaurant’s last day of operation was Nov. 6. and that the decision is “not an indication or reflection of the health of the Boston’s brand.”

The reason for the closure is unclear.

“As an independently owned and operated establishment, we would like to thank the community for their support the past three years,” he said.

Boston Pizza serves salads, soups, nachos, burgers, sandwiches, chips and dip, pasta, desserts, cocktails, beer and wine at its more than 400 locations across North America.
