2 Shot, $80K Stolen In Philly Home Invasion: Reports

A man was shot in the back and a woman shot in the leg during an early Sunday morning home invasion, according to reports.

PHILADELPHIA – Two people were shot and a safe was stolen in a Sunday home invasion, according to reports.

At about 2 a.m. Sunday, two masked men broke into a home on the 9400 block of Torresdale Avenue, according to CBS Philadelphia.

The men shot a 39-year-old man in the back and a 37-year-old woman in the leg and stole a safe that contained about $80,000 and diamonds, Action News reports.

A two-year-old child was in the home but was not harmed in the incident.

According to Action News the two men fled in the victims' silver GMC Sierra pickup truck, which was later found burned on Interstate 95.
