2 new stores open at Folsom’s Palladio, as another relocates within the shopping center

Two new businesses filled vacancies at Folsom’s Palladio Shopping Center this month, and another relocated within the outdoor mall.

Skin Laundry, a skin care clinic, and LoveSac, a furniture company, both opened their doors June 9, according to Gloria Wright, Palladio’s general manager.

Patrick James, a men’s clothing store that originally opened in Folsom in 2021, moved into a shop next to the center’s Starbucks, across the street from SeaQuest Folsom.

Skin Laundry, a skin care clinic, opened at 280 Palladio Parkway, Suite 909. The business has roughly 40 locations across the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, the Middle East and north Africa.

The company provides skin care through a variety of dermatologist-developed creams, serums and lasers, according to its website.

Hit the ‘love’ sack

LoveSac opened at 280 Palladio Parkway, Suite 905, while celebrating 25 years of operation, Wright said. The company is known for its beanbags and “sactionals” furniture that can be customized with StealthTech Sound systems and charging capabilities.

Shawn Nelson, LoveSac’s founder, made his first beanbag in 1995 and took it to the drive-in movie theaters with his girlfriend. He said it was so comfortable his neighbors begged him to make one for his kids. He did, and in 1998, Nelson registered the name for $25 in Utah; LoveSac was born.
