2 Tampa Bay area beaches rank among the best in U.S.: Tripadvisor

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Two Tampa Bay beaches ranked among the best in the United States, according to Tripadvisor.
The travel site said the rankings were based on an analysis of all the reviews left on Tripadvisor for beaches globally over one year.
The two Tampa Bay area beaches recognized on the list were Siesta Beach and Clearwater Beach.
Tripadvisor said Siesta Beach is one of the top beaches in the world. The beach came in at No. 9 globally and as the No. 2 beach in the United States.

The travel site said that Siesta Beach is good for sunbathing and families. It recommends people visit in the Fall when travelers can snag lower hotel prices and enjoy the post-summer sunshine.
Clearwater Beach also made the list as a top-ranked beach in America. It was ranked at No. 12 in the U.S.
Tripadvisor said the main draw of Clearwater Beach is its wide shoreline, small-town atmosphere and its inviting turquoise waters. The travel site said the beach has excellent conditions for parasailing, jet skiing and snorkeling.
