2 teens arrested for armed robbery in Fairfax County, police say

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Detectives in Fairfax County charged two teenagers in connection to an armed robbery that happened earlier this month.

On Jan. 14, a boy met with officers to report a robbery that happened at about 3 p.m. that day. He said that he was in the 5800 block of Royal Ridge Dr. in Burke when he was approached by one of the teenagers, whom he knows. The suspect pulled out a gun, threatened the boy and demanded money and clothing.

The teenager took the victim’s cash, shoes, sweatshirt, belt and jeans before fleeing in a black Honda Civic, driven by the other suspect.

On Jan. 26, police say the two teens were arrested and charged with armed robbery. They are being held at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center.

The suspect who initially approached and threatened the boy had outstanding warrants for robbery, probation violation and failure to appear.
