United States Senators O.E. Weller, Maryland; Edward Sidney Broussard, Louisiana; and Secretary of the Navy Edwin Denby motored from Washington Saturday and were guests of W. Harry Haller and Charles McC. Mathias on a shooting trip. Senators Weller and Broussard and Secretary Denby, accompanied by Mr. Haller and Mr. Mathias, scoured the Linganore hills in search of game. They were successful, the visitors bagging a generous supply of rabbits and quail. Secretary Denby proved the best shot and brought down much of the game.

There may still be days of chivalry as manifested by the fact that five young cavaliers rode on the Pennsylvania Railway train as far as Harmony Grove and then hiked all the way back one evening merely to have a few more moments with their fair ones, and by the fact that two young knights recently hiked in from Mount Airy in the wee small hours after calling on their ladies. But these are also days of woman suffrage. Monday evening a girl residing on the Emmitsburg state road near Bloomfield, hiked to Frederick to attend a dance. Her brother had planned to take her but, alas, she and her brother quarreled late Monday afternoon and he decided not to fulfill his part.

The new policy, which has been discussed in previous years, is modeled after state and federal grant requirements for groups asking for public money, according to Eva Rosvold, Ms. Dougherty's executive assistant.
