65 Gloriously Gay Photos From The ‘I Like To Watch Live’ Premiere

Last night in New York, the stars were out for a hilarious — and dystopian — event. Hosted by Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova, the I Love To Watch Live Show spotlighted the upcoming season of Black Mirror with a special screening of the episode “Joan is Awful” starring Annie Murphy and Salma Hayek Pinault.

The event marked the first-ever live taping of the drag stars’ hit series and after the screening, Murphy and Hayek Pinault shocked and delighted the audience with a surprise appearance. It was very in keeping with the episode’s ultra-meta themes, making their arrival a cheeky play on its premise. Their unannounced cameo received a huge reaction from the audience, who roared with enthusiasm when the lights turned up and revealed the duo on stage on Trixie and Katya’s iconic split pink and red couch.

Murphy and Hayek Pinault joined the hosts for the taping of I Like To Watch where they dished on their roles in the episode and reacted to some of the more hilarious, and shall we say, explosive highlights from the new episode. Like “Joan is Awful”, this episode of the drag stars’ series is one you won’t want to miss.

The event also included an introduction from the director of the Black Mirror episode, Ally Pankiw. Other attendees included Black Mirror co-stars Ayo Edibiri, Jared Goldstein, Jaboukie Young-White, special guest Karen Gillan, drag queens Mrs. Kasha Davis and Marcia Marcia Marcia, and notable social media influencers including Victoria Brito, Zachariah Porter, Emely Moreno, Kate Austin, Sarah Sulsenti and JJ Niemann. Members and guests of LGBTQ organizations including GLAAD, HRC, The NYC LGBT Community Center, Ali Forney Center, GMHC, The Trevor Project, YUVA, and members of the Royal House of LaBeija were also part of the audience for the special screening.
