20-year-old man killed in shooting at a Knoxville event center

Police are looking for the suspect in a weekend shooting that killed Nicholas Sheadrick, 20, of Knoxville.

Sheadrick was shot at 1 a.m. Oct. 21 at Osmar Event Center in the Inskip neighborhood, the Knoxville Police Department said in a news release. About 300 people were at an event when a fight broke out in a bathroom, police say.

The suspect fled after Sheadrick was shot and has not been arrested. Sheadrick was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center and pronounced dead.
