Social media and reality tv star Harry Jowsey first rose to fame back in 2020 when he appeared on Netflix’s Too Hot Too Handle, but now he’s making headlines for an entirely different reason—his underwear habits!
The 26-year-old is not only on the newest season of Dancing with the Stars, but his episodes of The Amazing Race Australia are currently airing. On last week’s episode when he was faced with a challenge where he could either pick up poo or do laundry, he made the startling confession that he hates doing laundry so much that he throws out his underwear after he wears them. “I wear my undies once and throw them out,” he said, according to Yahoo! Lifestyle.“I would rather pick up s**t than do my own laundry, so we picked the s**t.”
After his comments were met with a backlash online, he walked back the comment, telling the outlet, “I was just being an idiot, I was being so dumb. I wear my undies once and I wash them, I don’t throw them out.” Thanks for dashing our dumpster-diving dreams Harry! “Like, they’re Tom Ford undies, they’re $70 for a pair, I'm not throwing those out ever. I've got them on now.” he said.
Jowsey is no stranger to controversy. Although he made supportive comments about trans rights when he openly admitted to hooking up with YouTuber Nikita Dragun, he also used a homophobic slur when talking about YouTuber James Charles. He later apologized in an interview with TMZ, saying, "I'm deeply embarrassed that I used such an offensive term so casually in conversation. I spoke with James already privately and I look forward to using this as a learning experience and not forgetting the weight that my words carry. I also want to sincerely apologize to the entire LGBTQ+ community who I wholeheartedly support.”
