2017 Nissan Versa Note shows off new face, Doctor Doom references inevitable
Nissan unveiled Thursday its updated 2017 Nissan Versa Note, complete with the V-neck grille you'll find on almost every Nissan now except the Z and the Leaf.
The updated hatchback for Nissan is relatively unchanged aside from the swept headlights, deeply set vertical grille element, and gnashed-teeth lower fascia underneath.

The Versa Note is still powered by a 1.6-liter inline-4 that makes 109 horsepower mated exclusively to a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive. A 5-speed manual that was previously available in base S models of the 2016 Versa Note is gone. Nissan is mum on whether the sedan will receive the same treatment.
Two new color options are available for the Versa Note this year: Monarch Orange and Deep Blue Pearl, which were borrowed from other sedans in the Nissan lineup.
Nissan unveiled the new Versa Note and a special "Black Pearl" edition Juke ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show, which starts next week. The automaker has announced that they'll debut another new model alongside the updated Versa Note and a "Star Wars: Rogue One" special edition of the Rogue.

The Black Pearl Juke is an SV trim with the treatment: black body with white bumper accents, white mirror caps and door handles, and white rear spoiler. To the penguin enthusiasts around the world: Finally, a vehicle just for you.
Only 1,250 examples of the Black Pearl Juke will be made, drawing inspiration from a 1978 280Z special edition with the same name.
Pricing for the 2017 Nissan Versa Note starts at $16,345 for an S Plus model, the same as last year's S Plus model. Base S models are gone from the 2017 lineup, which came in at less than $16,000, but didn't include power windows or door locks and were fitted with the 5-speed manual.
Pricing for the rest of the Versa Note lineup has also stayed the same from 2016.
