All across the country, hospitals have been receiving a sweet surprise from one of the biggest names in music: Lizzo.

The “Truth Hurts” singer has treated several hospital staffs to lunch, sending each of them a personalized message along with their meals.

Some of the hospitals that Lizzo was generous enough to send meals to include Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, University of Washington Medical Center, and M Health Fairview in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

On March 30, Henry Ford Hospital shared the video message that Lizzo sent them on Twitter.

In the video, Lizzo thanks the workers “for all that [they’re] doing during this pandemic.”

“It’s definitely not easy and you guys are putting yourselves on the front line,” she says. “Because of that, I wanted to treat y’all to a meal and I really hope that you guys enjoy the food … Thank you so much for being the heroes in this story.”

The next day, Grandview Medical Center shared the video that Lizzo sent them on Facebook. In it, she shares a similar message of gratitude and awe.

“Thank you for all of the hard work that you guys have been doing,” she says. “We are trying to stay inside and we are thinking of you and praying for you guys every day, but I wanted to do a little bit more than that and send you guys a treat.”

All of the hospitals who received lunch from Lizzo are eternally grateful.

“Kettering Health Network is thankful and delighted that Lizzo would take the time to make sure our caregivers on the frontline of this pandemic know they’re appreciated,” Elizabeth Long, a spokeswoman for Kettering Health Network, told In The Know.

Over at University of Washington Medical Center, the staff even took the time to make signs, thanking Lizzo for her generosity.

“Your support of our frontline healthcare workers means a lot,” the hospital wrote on Twitter.

Thank you Lizzo for being 100 percent that amazing.
