Twitter users freak out over ‘crazy’ potato chip hack: ‘How am I just finding out about this?’

A particularly delicious at-home hack is going viral on Twitter — and blowing snack-lovers’ minds in the process.

The concept, captured in a short, 15-second video, offers a seemingly foolproof method for sealing potato chip bags.

“Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi shared a version of the hack on Twitter, and the video instantly went viral. It’s now been viewed more than 11.5 million times and spawned all sorts of recreations.

“How am I just finding out about this now?” Lakshmi wrote.

The hack involves zero clamps, clothespins or rubber bands, and is extremely simple. Basically, it’s nothing more than a slightly more complex way to fold up the bag.

But it seems to work well, as countless videos show snack-lovers flipping their bags upside down and shaking them — all without breaking the seal.

Today reported that the hack was originally shared on TikTok by user Heidi Tuley, but it since spread across nearly every social media platform.

Several Twitter users called the videos “crazy” and helpful, while others jokingly knocked it as being “too much work.”

“That’s why I finish the whole packet. Don’t have to deal with these instructional videos,” one user wrote.
