Though Bindi and her now-husband Chandler Powell were forced to have a much more intimate ceremony on March 25 in light of the global pandemic, they “worked with local businesses to make it happen.”
We found literally the only tool you need to make delicious grilled food in the safety of your own home this summer.
“We decided not to have wedding guests due to the global crisis for everyone’s health and safety. Our family and friends couldn’t be there to celebrate with us,” Bindi explained on Instagram. “However, they all encouraged us to continue on and get married. From their love and support, we felt love win … Everything from the cake to the flowers were different.”

After all that hard work though, Bindi said that the paparazzi flying around in helicopters scared the wildlife and forced the couple to move the wedding to a nearby barn.
“On our wedding day we were finally about to get married and the paparazzi flew over us in a helicopter scaring our wildlife,” she explained. “We had to leave our stunning wedding venue on the African Savannah for their safety.”
Thankfully, the nearby filming barn held some significance to Bindi, seeing as it’s where she had “spent much of [her] time with [her] family working on ‘Crocodile Hunter’ and ‘Bindi the Jungle Girl.'”
“Sure, things weren’t perfect but that’s life,” Bindi said. “Life is messy and beautiful and meant to be felt. We were overcoming great obstacles to prove that unconditional love is the most important foundation. Our wedding day wasn’t what we planned but it was an extraordinary starting point for our marriage to bloom.”
