From Car and Driver

  • Mild updates to the Lincoln Navigator for 2020 include a trio of new monochromatic exterior appearance treatments and more standard features.

  • Driver-assistance technology will now be bundled together in the Co-Pilot360 package.

  • New standard features include power running boards, heated and ventilated front seats, and a wireless phone-charging pad.

Lincoln's highest-end SUV receives a subtle exterior styling update for 2020, adding only three new monochromatic color schemes, but it also brings a host of new standard features and available driver-assist items to improve its value.

Ford-Lincoln's Co-Pilot360 package of active-safety tech, which has quickly spread across the Lincoln lineup, will now be found on the Navigator. The all-encompassing package includes automated emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring as well as automatic high-beam headlamps, pedestrian detection, and lane-keeping assist.

All models will now come with power running boards, heated and ventilated front seats, and a wireless charging pad for compatible smartphones. Speaking of phones, the Phone as a Key feature that was shown on the new Lincoln Aviator SUV will find its way to the Navigator lineup as a standard feature for 2020. The feature provides options to lock, unlock, start, and pop the liftgate without having to carry along a traditionally chunky Lincoln key fob.

The three new exterior color schemes–Pristine White, Ceramic Pearl, and Infinite Black–are available on the Reserve model. These seem to be a reversal of the two-tone trend by keeping a solid color scheme for the Navigator's expansive bodywork.

We expect the 2020 Navigator to hit Lincoln dealerships by the end of the year.
