Subaru has announced a new limited edition trim level for its WRX and WRX STI performance models, dubbed the Series.White. Available only in Ceramic White paired with bronze wheels, the two models will be sold in limited quantities, and include a suite of bespoke cosmetic upgrades, along with a handful of changes to the suspension setup.

The STI version gets the majority of the upgrades, with new heavy-duty steering rack mounts to promote rigidity, a retuned Bilstein suspension setup, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires as standard. They rest on 19-inch forged BBS wheels that cover the same six-piston Brembos up front found on the normal STI. Also from the normal STI is the engine—the familiar 310-horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged boxer-four, first introduced with the Type RA, sits underneath the hood.

Inside, the spare tire has been deleted for weight savings in favor of a tire repair kit. There's also black Ultrasuede trim on the Recaro seats and steering wheel, with contrasting red stitching.

The WRX Series.White is based on the WRX Premium with the Performance Package, meaning you get a moonroof delete, Recaro seats, and Brembo brakes (four-piston calipers in the front, two-piston in the rear). The car gets its own version of the Bilstein suspension, and the same range of cosmetic upgrades as its STI sibling. What it doesn't get is the upgraded steering rack mounts or sticky Michelin tires.

Subaru is building just 500 examples of each Series.White model, both of which will arrive at dealerships in early 2020. The STI will start at $42,695, while the WRX will have an MSRP of $33,995. Both prices exclude a $900 destination fee.
