2022 Basie Awards nominations: Did your high school show make the cut?

Roll out the red carpet.

Nominees have been announced for the 2022 Basie Awards, which honor the best of Monmouth County high school theater.

The in-person awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 25, at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank. The awards were presented virtually the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Basies are modeled after Broadway's Tony Awards. Now in its 17th year, the program evaluates high school musical and play productions throughout Monmouth County in more than 25 categories.

This year, 16 plays and 23 musical performances were evaluated by the Basie Awards nomination committee.
