2022 election results: Valero keeps lead over Harness in race for District 4 Supervisor seat

Incumbent Eddie Valero was challenged by Dinuba native and former Mayor Scott Harness for Tulare County Board of Supervisors District 4 seat.

In a close race, Valero remains in the lead with 473 votes more than his Dinuba challenger.

Voting trends favor the incumbent.

"Thank you for your encouragement and support,” Valero posted on social media. “I am excited to report that we are ahead and projected to win our race… You have allowed me to continue working hared on your behalf to accomplish more for North Tulare County, specifically, and the County of Tulare in general.”

The district includes the unincorporated communities of Badger, Cutler-Orosi, Elderwood, Goshen, Ivanhoe, London, Monson-Sultana, Seville, Three Rivers, Traver and Yettem. The cities represented in District 4 include Dinuba, Woodlake and a small portion of Visalia.

Eddie Valero (Incumbent)

Valero was elected to Tulare County Board of Supervisors in 2018.

He previously served on the Cutler-Orosi Joint Unified School District board as board president. Valero is a native of Cutler-Orosi and graduated from Orosi High School in 2000.

He completed undergraduate and graduate degrees from Cornell University.

Scott Harness

Harness was born and raised in Dinuba. His family has been living and working there for five generations, according to his campaign page.

Harness served on the Dinuba City Council for eight years, and in 2016, he was elected Mayor of Dinuba.
