2022 Florida A&M Sports Hall of Fame scheduled ahead of Albany State football game
Attendees of the 2022 Florida A&M University Sports Hall of Fame Enshrinement will witness a refresh of the festivities highlighted by a change of venue to the newly-refurbished Lee Hall Auditorium on Friday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m.
Hall of Fame Board Chairman Marvin Green, Jr. made the official announcement Thursday regarding the annual event which celebrates FAMU's legacy of athletic excellence that spans over a century.
A post-ceremony reception in the University’s Grand Ballroom will follow the enshrinement.
The 2022 class will be recognized the following evening during the FAMU-Albany State football game at the renovated Bragg Memorial Stadium.

This year’s enshrinement weekend will be dedicated to the memory of Coach Bobby E. Lang, a Hall of Fame coach and educator, who also served as a spearhead of the FAMU Sports Hall of Fame Board until his death this past January.
The fabled 1966-68 men’s 4x100 relay quartet of James Ashcroft, Major Hazelton, Eugene Milton and Nathaniel James, who won the event in three consecutive years at the prestigious Penn Relays, retiring the J.C. Patterson Cup.
Harriett Adderley, will be awarded the inaugural FAMU Sports Hall of Fame Trailblazer Award for serving as a member of Rattler baseball in the 1960s.
The event will be live streamed and ticketing details are pending.
