2022 NFL Draft: Giants projected to pick 4th, 8th after Week 1

Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong for the New York Giants in Week 1 and that resulted in a loss to the Denver Broncos.

After a 27-13 defeat at home against Denver, the Giants are already 0-1 and could be looking at 0-2 if they’re unable to handle the Washington Football Team on Thursday night.

There is one silver lining, though. If both the Giants and Chicago Bears stink, they could have two top 10 picks in the 2022 NFL draft.

And currently, that is projected to be the case.

If the season were to end today, the Giants would have the fourth overall pick (their own) and the eighth overall pick (via Chicago).

The last time the Giants had two draft picks even close to this came back in 2019 when the Giants selected Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick and then selected Dexter Lawrence with the 17th overall pick (acquired via trade with the Cleveland Browns).

As things sit, the Giants have an 8.7% chance to get the No. 1 overall pick, which is currently held by the Jacksonville Jaguars. They also have a 41.7% chance of securing a top 5 pick.
