Here are the 2022 All-North Jersey girls cross-country teams

After an exciting season, the following players have been selected to the 2022 All-North Jersey girls cross-country teams.

Christina Allen

River Dell junior

One of just two athletes in state history to win a State Meet of Champions title in both the 800 and 3,200, Allen uses cross-country more as a preparation for the outdoor track season than as a championship focus. But she's still one of the best in the state at the 5,000 meter distance.

Allen won three races, including the Big North Patriot and Bergen B, and took second at the Bergen Meet of Champions and North 1, Group 2 sectionals, fourth in Group 2 and 27th at the State Meet of Champions.

Remy Dubac

Clifton senior

After winning four of her first seven races, including her second straight Big North Liberty title and her first Passaic County title, Dubac seemed primed to equal if not better her fifth-place showing at the SMOC. Then COVID struck.

Dubac overcame a mild case and gutted out a second straight North 1, Group 4 sectional title and earned a wild card for the SMOC with an 11th place finish in Group 4. But then the effects of the illness caught up with her and she ended her season a race early.

Leanna Johnston

Immaculate Heart senior

Johnston capped her high school cross-country career by going undefeated in four races at Darlington County Park, including wins in the Big North United, Bergen E and Lou Molino Bergen Meet of Champions, the latter in the fastest time run on the course this season.

She took third in the Non-Public A race at the state meet, then took 19th in the State Meet of Champions. She has already committed to run at Ivy League powerhouse Columbia University.

Amelia Keogh

Ramapo junior

Keogh had three major wins, the Big North Freedom, Bergen A and North 1, Group 3 sectional titles, and had top-five finishes at Darlington, Garret Mountain, Holmdel and at the Wild Safari Invitational in Jackson.

Her worst race of the year came in a 15th place finish at the BMOC when she went out too quickly with the leaders. But her 13th place finish for a wild card at the Group 3 meet led to a strong 22nd place finish at the SMOC, just off the podium.

Kate Meeks

Old Tappan senior

Meeks had a breakthrough spring and turned it into an even better fall, placing in the top 10 in seven of her nine races and put up her best performance at the SMOC with a 26th-place finish.

She won a pair of early-season races, took second in the Big North National, fourth in Bergen B, ninth in the BMOC and third in the North 1, Group 3 sectional before grabbing a wild card into the SMOC. Only two of the 30 wild cards ran faster than she did at the race.

Zoe Merryman

Mahwah senior

One of the busiest runners in North Jersey, she was also one of the most successful, finishing in the top five in nine of her 11 races, including two early-season invitational wins at Garret Mountain.

She took second in the Big North Patriot meet, third in the Bergen B, fifth in the North 1, Group 2 sectional and BMOC meets and was 16th in Group 2, easily earning a SMOC wild card before finishing 57th.

Cellina Rabolli

Ridgewood junior

One of just two returnees from Ridgewood's state runner-up team of 2021, she was the Maroons' leader all year and helped Ridgewood return to the SMOC with seven top-10 finishes in nine races.

She was second in the Bergen A race, fourth at BMOC, third at the North 1, Group 4 sectional and 18th in Group 4 before finishing 50th in the State Meet of Champions, 28 places higher than she placed in 2021.

Autumn Ritter

Northern Highlands junior

Ritter was the leader on North Jersey's best team, winning the Lou Molino Bergen Meet of Champions and North 1, Group 3 sectional, taking third in Group 3, fifth in the SMOC and sixth at the Nike Northeast Regional.

She led the team in most of those races, taking sixth in the BMOC, second at sectionals, eighth at groups, 61st at the SMOC and 43rd at the Nike Northeast Regionals.

Morgan Uhlhorn

Lakeland senior

Uhlhorn was a key part of Lakeland's dream 2021 season when the Lancers won their first Passaic County and sectional title and reached their first SMOC. But even she couldn't have imagined how good 2022 would be for her.

She raced eight times and won six of them, including a Big North Independence title. She was a close second to Dubac at Passaic County, then dominated both the North 1, Group 2 and Group 2 races before she finished her year with a sixth-place SMOC finish.
