2022 primary election schedule and key dates
It’s no secret just how consequential the 2022 midterms are. From determining the fate of President Joe Biden's agenda to serving as a barometer for former President Donald Trump’s grip on the GOP, it’s a big deal.
For candidates at the state and national levels, the packed primary calendar ahead will determine who’s on the ballot in November. The month of May will test Trump’s hold on the GOP and his prospects for 2024, as his MAGA-backed candidates power through difficult primaries from Nebraska and West Virginia to Idaho, Pennsylvania and Georgia.
