The 2022 Subaru BRZ Will Start at $27,995
Subaru revealed pricing for its revamped 2022 BRZ sports car today, giving us an idea of just how closely the two-door stacks up to cars like the Mazda MX-5 Miata and Fiat 124 Spider. With a starting price of $27,995 for the cheapest manual variant, it should be able to pick up right where its predecessor left off in the segment.
In addition to the new 228-hp 2.4-liter naturally aspirated flat-four engine and six-speed manual transmission, buyers of the base "Premium" BRZ trim will get things like a Torsen limited-slip differential, keyless access, push-button start, LED headlights, and a tire pressure monitoring system as standard. Step up to the $30,495 Limited trim, and you get 18-inch alloy wheels, Michelin Pilot 4 summer tires, and a handful of active safety systems to keep you protected on the road.
If you absolutely must get your BRZ with an automatic transmission, the six-speed torque-converter unit will cost you an extra $1600 in the Premium model, or $1800 in the Limited trim. One benefit of optioning the auto is that you also get Subaru's EyeSight driver-assist tech, which includes things like adaptive cruise control and pre-collision braking. You even get high beam assist, regardless of which trim you go for. Go for the auto in the Limited trim, and you're also treated to reverse automatic braking. All prices here are before the $1000 destination fee.
Subaru says the 2022 BRZ is set to arrive at dealerships this fall.
