Here’s the 2023 Lexington All-City Volleyball Team

Lexington’s nine high school volleyball coaches have selected the 2023 edition of the All-City Volleyball Team.

Paul Laurence Dunbar, this season’s 43rd District and 11th Region champions, and Frederick Douglass, the 42nd District champs, each placed three players on the first team as did Tates Creek and Lexington Catholic. Dunbar led all schools with nine overall honorees.

The Bulldogs’ Delaney “DJ” Gash received the annual Chris Beerman Senior Award, named in honor of the late college coach and longtime club director of Lexington United Volleyball. The award goes to a senior who excels on the court, the classroom and in the community. Gash has committed to Akron to continue her playing career.
