2023 list of Wichita restaurants serving on Thanksgiving Day or offering dinners to go

Another year, another list of restaurants that will be open on Thanksgiving Day.

This year’s, which also includes the restaurants serving turkey dinners to go, contains some details worth noting.

Red Lobster is opening for Thanksgiving this year, though it won’t have turkey and will stick to its regular menu.

And inflation watchers will be happy to learn that most prices didn’t increase significantly from last year. The majority of local buffets either stayed the same price or went up just a few dollars. A few to-go options went up as much as $10, but the majority remained mostly unchanged.

Here’s this year’s list. Note that some take-and-bake options have set ordering deadlines that are coming up over the next several days.

Buffet/fine dining

6S Steakhouse, 6200 W. 21st St., 316-361-6667: A buffet will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is $38 for adults, $18 for children 12 and under. Reservations recommended.

Chisholm’s American Beef & Ale House, inside the DoubleTree by Hilton, 2098 S. Airport Road, 316-945-1966: Thanksgiving buffet served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. $44 for adults; $19.95 for children 12 and under; free for children under 5 with adult purchase.

First Mile Kitchen, 2141 N. Bradley Fair Parkway: Plated Thanksgiving dinners are $40 a person, $20 for children under 12. Seatings are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Reserve a table by calling 316-358-0130

Hyatt Regency, 400 W. Waterman, 316-613-6400: Buffet served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. is $36.95 for adults, $15 for ages 5-12 years old, free for 4 and under. Reservations required.

Magnolia Cafe, 2424 N. Woodlawn. 316-260-1356: Buffet served from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. is $29.99 for adults, $12.99 for children under 10. Call for reservations.

Newport Grill, 1900 N. Rock Road, 316-636-9555. Buffet served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. is $44.95 for adults, $19.95 for children ages 6-12. Call for reservations.

Siena Tuscan Steakhouse, inside the Ambassador Hotel, 104 S. Broadway, 316-440-5300. Buffet served 10 a.m.-3 p.m. is $49 for adults, $29 for ages 3-12, free for 2 and under. Reservations recommended at opentable.com

Scotch & Sirloin, 5325 E. Kellogg, 316-685-8701. Serving four-course family-style Thanksgiving meals from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Price is $44 for adults and $15 for children ages 4 to 11. Call for reservations.
