2023 Rockford Region Restaurant Week's winners: Best bite, best brew and more
The Rockford community came out and supported small businesses during Rockford Region Restaurant Week.
The Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau's annual week allows customers to vote for their favorite place to get a bite to eat or get a cocktail in the Rockford region.
Local restaurants, bars, bakeries, coffee shops and offered their best entrees, cocktails, carryout and to-go packages for customers during the week.
Here are the winners for the 2023 Rockford Region Restaurant Week:
Best Bite: The Norwegian. For this category, customers voted for the best meal packing the most flavorful bite.
Best Atmosphere and Vibes: Ernie's Midtown Pub. For the second straight year, Ernie's was voted to have the best vibes through lighting, service and overall experience.
Best Restaurant Week Package: Alchemy at Aldeen won this year's award for their three-course dinner. Customers were to vote on the most creative, deal, experience or package.
Best Cocktail or Brew: 8th Ward Pub. Customers voted for the most creative and tasty beverage, which included coffee, cocktails, smoothies, beer and other freshly served beverages.
Best for All: Lino's. The best of all category is meant to capture a food establishment's ability to provide a welcoming environment for everyone. It's defined as a venue welcoming residents and visitors by creating a sense of belonging.
The Rockford Region Restaurant Week has been held every year in January or February since 2021.
