2023 State of County focuses on safety, housing and economic growth at Reagan library

Hundreds turned out Thursday to hear County Executive Officer Sevet Johnson deliver the annual State of the County address at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum in Simi Valley.

This year’s event celebrated the county’s 150th anniversary and raised funds for the Museum of Ventura County and Economic Development Collaborative. The address was followed by a reception in the Air Force One Pavilion.

Johnson spoke about the county's services, its $2.86 billion budget, goals and achievements. She called economic growth a focus and highlighted a county website that provides a centralized platform promoting the county for businesses.
