2024 Diamond Hogs set for nine national telecasts; D-1 softball tabs two Arkansas players All-Americans

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas baseball fans will get the chance to see the Razorbacks on national TV at least nine times during the 2024 season.

The Razorbacks, ranked No. 2 in Perfect Game’s preseason poll and a consensus top five selection, are slated to play a trio of games on ESPN2 as well as six games on the SEC Network.

All but one of those telecasts will be from Baum-Walker Stadium, the home of Arkansas, which opens its season on Friday, Feb. 16 at 3 p.m. with the first game of a four-game series with James Madison.

Arkansas is also ranked third by both Baseball America and D-1 Baseball and fourth per the NCBWA preseason poll.

Diamond Hogs baseball national telecasts:

  • March 21 – at Auburn – 6 p.m. (SEC Network)

  • March 28 – vs. LSU – 6 p.m. (ESPN2)

  • March 29 – vs. LSU – 7 p.m. (SEC Network)

  • April 4 – vs. Ole Miss – 6 p.m. (SEC Network)

  • April 15 – vs. Texas Tech – 7 p.m. (ESPN2)

  • April 16 – vs. Texas Tech – 4 p.m. (SEC Network)

  • April 26 – vs. Florida – 7 p.m. (SEC Network)

  • April 27 – vs. Florida – Noon (ESPN2)

  • May 12 – vs. Mississippi State – 2 p.m. (SEC Network)

All 36 of Arkansas’ home games at Baum-Walker Stadium will be streamed or broadcast on SEC Network+ or the ESPN family of networks.

Broadcast plans for the Razorbacks’ midweek matchup against in-state opponent UAPB on April 23 at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock, Ark., remain to be announced.

In addition, six wildcard games during the final weekend of the regular season (May 16-18) will be selected to air on SEC Network and ESPN2. Arkansas takes on Western Division foe Texas A&M in Bryan-College Station, Texas, to close out its regular season.

All 17 games of the SEC Tournament (May 21-26) are slated to be televised. The first 16 games will air on SEC Network, while the SEC Tournament Championship Game will air on ESPN2.

Arkansas is scheduled to have an ooen scrimmage on Friday with a tentative first pitch at 2:05 p.m.

D-1 Softball released its preseasosn All-American teams on Thursday with Bri Ellis and Nia Carter both being named to the second team.

Defending national champion Oklahoma, the publication’s preseason No. 1 team led h way with five selections while UCLA had four, Georgia 3 with two selections each from Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida, Stanford, Duke and Arizona.

Arkansas softball is ranked 8th by Softball America, 12th in the ESPN.com/USA Softball preseason poll,  16th by USA Today/NFCA and 18th according to D-1 Softball.

The Razorbacks will begin their season by facing Marshall Thursday, Feb. 8 in a 1 p.m. game at the Paradise Classic in Boca Raton, Fla.
