LOUISIANA (KLFY) — With the 2024 Pro Bowl almost underway, these Pro Bowlers got their start in Louisiana.

The 2024 Pro Bowl is set to take place on Sunday Feb. 4, and includes many players that were born in Louisiana. Players selected for the Pro Bowl are recognized for being the best at their respective positions for that season.

Look for these Acadiana natives on the NFL gridiron

Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott has been the Dallas Cowboy’s number one guy for many seasons now, and among one the the top quarterbacks in the NFL. Prescott is from Haughton, La. near Shreveport, and attended Haughton High School where he lead the football team to a state championship in 2010.

Prescott decided to opt out of playing in this years Pro Bowl as he and his girlfriend are expecting their first child, with the due date quickly approching.

CeeDee Lamb

Another Cowboy and player from Louisiana selected for the 2024 Pro Bowl was receiver CeeDee Lamb. Lamb was born in Opelousas and lived in New Orleans until his family evacuated for Hurricane Katrina and relocated to Houston, Texas. He has been a top receiver since coming into the NFL from the University of Oklahoma and is now a three time Pro Bowler.

Ja’Marr Chase

The Bengal’s top receiver and former LSU star, Ja’Marr Chase is set to make his third Pro Bowl appearance. Born in Harvey, Louisiana, Chase attended Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie. He would later attend LSU, and go on to win a National Championship alongside Bengal’s Quarterback Joe Burrow.

Since joining the NFL, Chase has been one of the NFL’s top young talents and consistently one of the best receivers in the league.

Patrick Queen

Patrick Queen grew in Ventress, Louisiana and later attended Livonia High School. While at Livonia, he was a member of the 2014 State Championship team. He would go on to play linebacker at LSU, and win the 2019 College Football National Championship. Queen was announced as the Defensive MVP for the game.

Queen has been a consistent member of the Baltimore Ravens’ defense since being drafted by them in 2020. In 2023 Queen would set many career high defensive stats, and earned his first selection to a Pro Bowl.

Honorably Mention

Danielle Hunter

Although Danielle Hunter was born in Jamaica and grew up in Katy Texas, he spent his college years at LSU. After three seasons with the Tigers, Hunter went on to play for the Minnesota Vikings. Since entering the NFL, Hunter has been selected for four Pro Bowls, including the 2024 iteration.
