2024 total solar eclipse to be visible in sliver of Michigan: Where map shows to go

The 2024 total solar eclipse is April 8 and only a sliver of Michigan is in the path of totality, meaning most of us won't be able to see the eclipse in its full glory.

However, the path does run through the most southeastern corner of the state, according to a NASA map.

Erie Township will probably the best spot in Michigan to see the total solar eclipse with Eclipse2024.org listing it in the path of totality. Also on the list is Luna Pier, which is further north and closer to the path's edge.

A user-generated Google map tracking the eclipse, credited to Xavier Jubier, gives a closer look at which areas of southeastern Michigan are in the path.

If you want more certainty that you'll get the full experience, travel south to Toldeo. Cleveland, is an even better bet as its predicted to be close to the middle of the path of totality.
