21 businesses nominated for Lacey chamber awards. Is your business among them?

The Lacey South Sound Chamber is set to announce seven winners of its annual business awards on Feb. 2. The awards will be presented at Indian Summer Golf & Country Club.

“The business community has been through a lot during this pandemic and we think it’s more important than ever to show appreciation and recognition of that,” said Executive Director Blake Knoblauch in a statement.

Two new awards have been added: the Got Grit and Legacy awards.

Got Grit recognizes an area nonprofit, government agency, business, or academic institution that, in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, has had to pivot and innovate their practices, adapt to change in their industry, and has shown resiliency, according to the chamber. The Legacy award recognizes a business that has been open for more than 20 years and is considered a community leader.
