21-year-old man dies after Sunday night shooting in Hoboken

Hoboken police and the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office are investigating a shooting in the city that left a 21-year-old man dead early Monday morning, officials said.

Just after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night, the Hoboken Police Department received a report of shots fired in the area of 320 Marshall Drive, officials said. Officers responded and found a crime scene outside of the building.

Damon Murray, 21, of Hoboken was taken to Jersey City Medical Center by car with an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was pronounced dead just after midnight, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.

The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner's Office, and the incident is under an active investigation, officials said. No arrests have been made.
