21-year-old woman from Lawrence killed in North Andover collision

An early morning head-on collision in North Andover killed a young woman from Lawrence and injured several other people.

The crash happened near 1800 Great Pond Road at around 7:00 a.m.

Police say a Chevy pickup truck collided with a Honda Pilot.

The 21-year-old woman who was killed was a passenger in the front seat of the Pilot. Her name has not been released.

The 20-year-old man who was driving the Pilot and a 22-year-old man who was in the back seat of the pilot were seriously injured.

The pickup truck driver was a 70-year-old man from Georgetown, who was also seriously injured.

All of the victims who were injured were taken to Lawrence General Hospital. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

“The Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit responded to assist North Andover Police with the investigation.” according to a statement from police. Great Pond Road was closed for several hours after the crash.
