We recently asked the BuzzFeed Community to tell us which TV love triangles ended with the wrong couple. Here are some of their interesting, controversial responses: Warning: MAJOR spoilers ahead!!!
1. Jane, Michael, and Rafael from Jane the Virgin "Jane. Should. Have. Ended. Up. With. Michael. Jane and Michael had the golden romance story and were the best couple ever. I really struggled to finish the show after Michael 'died' and Jane dated Rafael."

—katiek4aa032b4d
ABC 3. Rachel, Ross, and Joey from Friends "Rachel should have ended up with Joey. Ross was a horrible boyfriend, a mediocre father, and a generally unpleasant person. He’s petty and childish, anti-gay, possessive, and — despite three marriages — unable to actually commit. I headcanon that Rachel realizes she made a mistake when she got off the plane and finds a way back to her dream job in Paris."
—senexbarbatus
NBC 4. Adam, Eric, and Rahim from Sex Education "I don't like Adam and Eric because the 'guy bullies other guy because he has feelings for him' trope is very tired, in my opinion."
—wowimgay2020
Netflix 5. Veronica, Archie, and Reggie from Riverdale "Veronica should end up with Reggie. She and Archie don’t have any emotional connection, and everything in their relationship is about sex."
—jaladhihpatel
The CW / Courtesy Everett Collection 6. Jaime, Brienne, and Cersei from Game of Thrones "Jaime should never have gone back to Cersei. He should have stayed with Brienne!"
—elissak4cc3926bd
HBO 7. Brenda, Kelly, and Dylan from Beverly Hills, 90210 "Don't get me wrong, Luke Perry was my TV boyfriend for years, but both girls should have sent him packing for being so indecisive and coming between their friendship."
—dellarock
Fox 8. Ted, Robin, and Barney from How I Met Your Mother "They spent a whole season revolving around Barney and Robin’s wedding weekend and Ted meeting Tracy just for her to die and for Barney and Robin to break up, all because the show had planned on Robin and Ted ending up together from the start. It would have been so easy for the writers to just change the ending as the show went on."
—olivia181
CBS / Courtesy Everett Collection 9. Jackie, Hyde, and Fez from That '70s Show "Jackie should have ended up with Hyde. The whole Fez thing was so forced and went against her character."
—panda_13
Fox 10. Olivia, Jake, and Fitz from Scandal "If Olivia was going to end up with anyone, it should have been Jake. Fitz was the absolute worst."
—hollsm405

His relationship with Tristan was toxic and definitely not my favorite at all — Lola and Miles just seemed to have such great chemistry and natural energy together."
—salimahmccullough
Netflix 12. Peyton, Jake, and Lucas from One Tree Hill "Peyton should have ended up with Jake. I get that Peyton and Lucas were supposed to be 'soul mates' and all, but Peyton's relationship with Jake just felt so much more natural and genuine to me. Jake and Peyton made each other better people, and I really think they were the better match."

The CW / Courtesy Everett Collection 13. Stefan, Elena, and Damon from The Vampire Diaries "Neither Stefan nor Damon should have ended up with Elena. Damon should have traveled the world with Bonnie, and Elena just needed some time alone."
—chloedbrown25sheher
Cw Network / ©CW Network/Courtesy Everett Collection 14. Hope, Landon, and Josie from Legacies "Both Hope and Josie should have said, 'Forget Landon!' and gotten together."
—Geeky_Mika
The CW 15. Haley, Andy, and Dylan from Modern Family "Haley 100% should have ended up with Andy, not Dylan. Andy brought out a more mature and caring side of her and respected her."
—n46fe61b6c
Abc / ©ABC/Courtesy Everett Collection 16. Dan, Blair, and Chuck from Gossip Girl "I’m a sucker for Dan and Blair. Chuck was horrible to everybody, and Blair even admitted she was a worse person around him. With Dan, however, she improved — she realized he wasn't any lesser than her just because of his class, their banter was adorable and fun to watch, and their compatibility was off the charts. I loved that they were able to connect on an intellectual level, and they felt like true equals. With Chuck and Blair, it always felt like one of them had an upper hand, while Dan and Blair felt balanced."

—jliz0801
The CW / Courtesy Everett Collection 18. Jim, Pam, and Karen from The Office "I know I'm going to get hate, but I would have loved to see a world where Jim ended up with Karen. Pam was pretty boring."
—jamesarthurwrites

"Effy should’ve ended up with Freddy, and I will never truly be over it."
—Th3FatPanth3r
20. Jess, Rory, and Logan from Gilmore Girls "As much as Logan progressed and changed throughout the series, he was never 'the one.' I want them to go back and rewrite a better ending [with Jess] — I hated that the show left it open."
—catalinasayss0
Netflix / Courtesy Everett Collection 21. And finally: the love rectangle between Emily, Maya, Paige, and Alison from Pretty Little Liars "I never liked Paige, and, while I can understand why people ship Emily and Alison, I could never fully get on board with Emison. I wanted to either see Maya miraculously return and sweep Emily off her feet (wilder things have happened on this show!) or just have Emily end up happy and single. She deserved better than both Paige and Alison, in my opinion."
