22 More PA Restaurants Shut Down For COVID Violations: Full List

PENNSYLVANIA — Another 22 restaurants have been ordered to shut down by health officials in Pennsylvania for repeatedly violating COVID-19 mitgation orders, the state announced Wednesday.

The additional closures cover the period of Jan. 4 to Jan. 10. It brings the total number of restaurants closed due to coronavirus violations by state orders to 132.

The enforcement comes despite the state lifting the most restrictive of its orders, including the ban on indoor dining, on Jan. 4. Other more basic mitigation measures, like mask mandates, cleaning protocols, and occupancy limits, remain in place.

The Bureau of Food Safety said they performed 729 inspections last week, with 130 of them related to COVID-19 health concerns.

The state referred 90 of those complaints to local and county departments of health, and the restaurants included in these listings only include establishments which have received state enforcement. The state defers to county health authorities where they exist; so, for example, no Philadelphia or Montgomery County restaurants appear on these lists.
