One of country music’s most decorated performers will take the stage in Columbia this summer.

Vince Gill announced a host of summer tour dates on Tuesday, and one of those will bring him through the capital city. Gill will perform at the Township Auditorium on July 8. Singer Wendy Moten, who has toured with Faith Hill, Tim McGraw and others, will be Gill’s featured guest at the show.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, March 25.

Gill has toured with the Eagles since 2017 but said he is looking forward to a headlining run, saying in a news release that he is “eager to get back on the bus and visit some places and fans that I haven’t seen for a while.”

A member of the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame, Gill has sold more than 30 million albums across a career that has spanned three decades. He’s won 22 Grammys and 17 Country Music Association honors. He is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
