23 students studying up for Holmes County Spelling Bee on Tuesday

BERLIN − Holmes County fourth-eighth-grader students are set to compete Tuesday in the annual Holmes County Spelling Bee at Hiland High School.

The event is coordinated by Jennifer Marrah, consultant, and Debbie Stoler, administrative assistant, of the Tri-County Educational Service Center.

The competition will begin at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. In case of inclement weather, the Bee will be rescheduled for Thursday.

The pronouncer will be Victoria Birk, Tri-County International Academy (IB) program coordinator. Judges will be Beth Gaubatz, Career Connections Consultant, Tri-County ESC; Andrew Johnson, gifted coordinator, Tri-County ESC; and Dr. Doug Marrah, executive director, Tri-County Computer Services.

  • Mylo Lorentz, Lakeville Elementary School (West Holmes), fourth grade

  • Savannah Yoder, Winesburg Elementary School (East Holmes), fifth grade
