A young Ukrainian tourist lost an arm and an Egyptian tour guide lost a leg in a rare shark attack over the weekend off Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh, officials said on Tuesday. The attack took place on Sunday when two tourists - a mother and her son - and their tour guide were snorkelling in Ras Mohammed national park, the Environment Ministry said. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital and an initial investigation showed that the attack involved a 2m-long (6-foot) Oceanic Whitetip shark.

A man died after Las Vegas police said he hung out of a car and struck a bicyclist, killing her. On Sunday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of two people who had been hit by a car, according to a news release. The man was the passenger in a car driven by 22-year-old Rodrigo Cruz, police said, and he leaned out of the window, pushing a female bicyclist to the ground.

The argument escalated and the women Jessica Hill, 21, and Jayla Hill, 18, are accused of attacking the man. Jessica pulled a knife out of her back pocket and began stabbing the 32-year-old man.
The grandson of religious leader Billy Graham was forced to deny he was the pastor who performed a vulgar act on a plane passenger in an apparent case of mistaken identity. The Rev Will Graham took to Twitter to deny he was involved in the bizarre incident and had not even been on the flight at the time. A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle near a police special forces base in eastern Afghanistan on Tuesday, setting off a gunfight with police that was followed by two more suicide bombings, Afghan officials said. Gen. Ghulam Daud Tarakhail, Khost provincial police chief, said 34 others, including nine civilians and 25 military personnel, were wounded in the attack. Tarakhail said the assailants, including the three suicide bombers, were shot and killed in the gun battle with Afghan security forces.
Libya's National Oil Corp (NOC) on Monday ended force majeure on the last facilities closed by an eight-month blockade of oil exports by eastern forces as it pushes to restore production of one million barrels per day (bpd) within four weeks. Ending force majeure - which suspended contract obligations due to circumstances beyond its control - on El-Feel oilfield means the NOC can theoretically bring all facilities back on stream. "NOC announces as of today, Monday Oct. 26, the end of the closure of each of the Libyan oilfields and ports," it said in a statement.

The Trump campaign's website was briefly hacked late Tuesday, with the culprits posting a typo-riddled message on the site threatening to release “evidence” of the president's “criminal involvement” in a supposed scheme to sway next week's election. The hackers, whose identity was not immediately known, only managed to crack into the Trump website's “about” page. Within minutes of the breach being discovered, the Trump campaign took down the site, but not before some news organizations were able to screen-grab the ominous message.
