Here are 24 concerts to attend this fall, including Slipknot, Garth Brooks and Thomas Rhett

The Ozarks' air will be full of live music from a variety of genres this fall, from metalcore to country to jazz. The News-Leader compiled a list of 24 concerts, from arena shows to outdoor festivals, to attend in the coming months.

Slipknot

When: Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Great Southern Bank Arena at 685 S. John Q Hammons Parkway

Heavy metal, Slipknot fans may enjoy the Knotfest Roadshow this week in Springfield. Openers include Ice Nine Kills and Crown the Empire. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets range between $26-77 and parking is $15.

Thomas Rhett

When: Friday, Sept. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Great Southern Bank Arena

Country artist Thomas Rhett is bringing his Bring The Bar To You Tour to Springfield Friday. Openers include Parker McCollum and Conner Smith. Tickets range between $36-117 and parking is $15.

Springfield Jazz Festival

When: Saturday, Sept. 24 at noon

Where: Downtown Springfield

The Springfield Jazz Festival celebrates its 11th anniversary this year with two stages, one at Park Central East and the other at Park Central Square. Several local and regional jazz musicians and groups are playing throughout the day, with the MSU Jazz Symposium I opening at noon. All music at these two outdoor stages is free.

American jazz musician Bruce Hornsby is headlining the festival. His concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Gillioz Theatre.

Rockin' Rogersville

When: Saturday, Sept 24 from 3:30-10 p.m.

Where: Constitution Boulevard in Rogersville

The annual outdoor music festival, Rockin' Rogersville, benefits the Community Foundation of Rogersville. This year's lineup is made up of Alec Davis, Psychobilly Cadillac, Machine Gun Symphony and Paralandra. The festival also includes food trucks, a beer garden and fireworks.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 day-of. VIP tickets are available for $100, which include access to VIP tents, provided meals, cash bar, air-conditioned restrooms and access to a reserved area in front of the stage.

Christian County Library Outdoor Concert Series: Maddi Warren

When: Saturday Sept. 24 from 6-7 p.m.

Where: Ozark Community Branch Library at 1005 N. 4th Ave. in Ozark

Maddi Warren, 15, is inspired by her Ozark roots as a singer and songwriter. Her style is described as a "gritty, soulful mountain sound."

Music lovers are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the Christian County Library's Outdoor Concert Series that continues throughout the fall months.

Drug Church

When: Monday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m.

Where: Lindberg's Tavern at 318 Commercial St.

Drug Church, a post-hardcore band from Albany, New York is making its way to Springfield soon. Local support will include Side Eye, Honest Sleep and Daisy Chain.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 day-of.

Koe Wetzel

When: Thursday, Sept. 29 at 6:45 p.m.

Where: Great Southern Bank Arena

American rock and country artist Koe Wetzel is taking the Great Southern Bank Arena stage later this month. Openers include Aaron Lewis and Kolby Cooper. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show begins at 6:45 p.m. Tickets range between $35-55 and parking is $15.

Garth Brooks

When: Friday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 2 at 3 p.m.

Where: Thunder Ridge Nature Arena at 1901 State Hwy 86 in Ridgedale

Garth Brooks is playing a trio of concerts at Big Cedar Lodge's Thunder Ridge Nature Arena later this month. Initially, only one show was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1, but after an overwhelming demand, the country artist added two more.

The concerts are in correlation with Bass Pro Shops' 50th anniversary.

Hinder

When: Sunday, Oct. 2 at 6:30 p.m.

Where: The Riff at 1900 W. Sunset St.

Hinder, an American rock band from Oklahoma City, is performing in Springfield in early October. The band formed in 2001 with current members Austin Winkler, Joe "Blower" Garvey, and Cody Hanson.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 each in advance and $25 day-of.

Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt

When: Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Gillioz Theatre at 325 Park Central E.

American signers and songwriters Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt are performing on stage together in early October. Tickets range between $69-124.

A country, rock and blues artist, Lovett is popularly known for his single, "Cowboy Man." Hiatt, a new wave, country and blues musician, has been nominated for nine Grammy Awards throughout his career.

Rockin' Roll Bike and Music Fest

When: Saturday, Oct. 8 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Where: Mother's Brewing Company at 215 S. Grant Ave.

The fifth annual Rockin' Roll Bike and Music Fest is Springfield's largest festival of its kind. The festival benefits Music Therapy of the Ozarks and the children’s charities of the Price Cutter Charity Championship.

Rides include a 55-mile on road and partial gravel, 40-mile, 20-mile and 3-mile family ride with a rest stop at The Discovery Center for snacks and live music. A post-ride meal will be provided for all riders from 3-6 p.m. and a John Prine Tribute concert will conclude the festival.

Early bird registration, open through Sept. 30, is $40, advance registration is $50 and day-of registration is $55. Kids under 12 years old are $15 and family rates are available for $100, which includes two adults and two children under the age of 18. Registration includes event apparel, two beer tickets, dinner, admission to the concert, complementary Coke products and on-route refreshments.

Katie Pruitt at Ozarks Pridefest

When: Saturday, Oct. 8 at 12:30 p.m.

Where: Park Central Square

American country singer and songwriter Katie Pruitt is headlining Ozarks Pridefest. Pruitt is based in Nashville and her first album, "Expectations" released in 2020.

Ozarks Pridefest is from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Kicking off the event is the Equality Parade, starting near the Springfield Municipal Court and concluding at Park Central Square. Throughout the day, attendees may enjoy other live performances, vendors and informational booths.

Oktoberfest on the Square

When: Saturday, Oct. 8 from 2-10 p.m.

Where: Ozark Square in downtown Ozark

The inaugural Oktoberfest in Ozark kicks off the second weekend in October. The festival will include local beer, live music, a corn hole tournament, pie eating contest, food trucks and 5K race. Members Only, a Midwest '80s tribute band, is headlining the festival. A beer tasting bracelet and commemorative mug is $25.

Attack! Attack!

When: Sunday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m.

Where: The Riff

Attack! Attack! is an American metalcore band from Westerville, Ohio, formed in 2007. Openers include Across The White Water Tower and Revision, Revised, with local support from Ever Eden and Vulgarity.

Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 day-of.

Christian County Library Outdoor Concert Series: Andy & Judy

When: Saturday, Oct. 15 from 6-7 p.m.

Where: Christian County Library

Andy & Judy are a Boston-based folk duo who perform original songs, influenced by country, gospel, blues and bluegrass.

Christian County Library Outdoor Concert Series: Kevin Cott

When: Saturday, Oct. 22 from 6-7 p.m.

Where: Christian County Library

Kevin Cott is a Springfield native singer and songwriter. His music features acoustic arrangements with an American style, similar to Mississippi musicians John Hurt and Chris Smither.

Good for my Soul Tour

When: Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 7:30-10:30 p.m.

Where: Springfield Art Museum at 1111 E Brookside Drive

The Springfield Art Museum is hosting Marcotte, a husband and wife duo made up of Jordan and Sasha Marcotte. The pair will be performing their latest soul-pop album, following opening act Haier.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and general admission tickets are $10.

Thompson Square

When: Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Gillioz Theatre

An American country duo, Thompson Square is made up of husband Keifer and wife Shawna Thompson. The two are known for their alternating vocals throughout each song. Tickets range between $32-50.

Joe Bonamassa

When: Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m.

Where: Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts at 525 S. John Q Hammons Parkway

American blues and rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa is considered one of the "greatest guitar players of his generation," with 25 No. 1 Billboard Blues Albums. His show in Springfield will include an array of songs throughout his career. Tickets for the show range from $39-199.

WAR

When: Friday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Formed in 1969, WAR is an American funk, rock and soul band from Long Beach, California. The band is most popularly known for their '76 single "Summer." Tickets for the concert range from $30-45.

MercyMe

When: Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m.

Where: Great Southern Bank Arena

American contemporary Christian band MercyMe is performing alongside Rend Collective and Andrew Ripp in early November. MercyMe was established in Oklahoma, and their tours starts in Colorado in mid-October and concludes in late November in Virginia. Ticket prices are between $22-85.

Mat Kearney

When: Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m.

Where: Gillioiz Theatre

Mathew "Mat" Kearney is performing his The Acoustic Trio Tour in Springfield later this year. Kearney is an acoustic rock musician based in Nashville. Tickets for the show range from $35-99.

Mannheim Steamroller

When: Monday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.

Where: Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts

Mannheim Steamroller is performing their "Christmas" album in Springfield, a holiday tradition for many. Mannheim Steamroller is a neoclassical new-age music group, formed by Chip Davis. The show will include a celebration of the band's 35th anniversary and a multimedia effects display. Tickets range between $25-75.

The Wallflowers

When: Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 8 p.m.

Where: Gillioz Theatre

The Wallflowers is an American rock solo project lead by musician Jakob Dylan. The band was formed by Dylan and then-guitarist Tobi Miller in 1989. The Wallflowers' tour begins in Washington this month and concludes in Springfield. Tickets for the concert range between $35-60.
