I-24 east reopens after wreck halts traffic for nearly 2 hours in Rutherford County, TDOT reports
Interstate 24 eastbound was shut down for nearly two hours Thursday following an 8-vehicle wreck involving a semi-truck near the Waldron Road exit in Rutherford County.

The wreck was first reported around noon, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the wreck. According to a preliminary investigation by THP, there were three injuries, but the extent of the injuries was not immediately known. All four lanes were reopened around 2 p.m.
