In the final day of the Snowbird Baseball Classic in Port Charlotte, Florida, the No. 13-ranked Big Red beat Arcadia 25-23 in 10 innings more than 24 hours after the game initially began.

Starting the game at 11 a.m. Monday, the game was suspended in the top of the eighth inning after six hours, tied 23-23.

The game resumed Tuesday, ending in 10 innings after Denison scored two runs in the top half before halting Arcadia in the bottom half with the winning run on base.

The game ended at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday: more than 24 hours after it began.

Denison and Arcadia combined for 42 hits, 21 walks and five errors, with 11 home runs and 15 doubles.

Seventeen different pitchers took the mound for both teams, while 31 position players took the field. Eleven players had two or more hits, while 11 players had two or more RBIs.

Denison's Ari Fierer broke the team's record with eight at-bats in a single game while tying the school record with seven RBIs and two home runs.

After Denison's memorable win against Arcadia, the Big Red fell short against Stevens Institute of Technology 8-4 to end its run at the Snowbird Baseball Classic.

Heading into a matchup against Farmingdale State College at the RussMatt Central Florida Baseball Invitational Wednesday, Denison has seven wins in 10 2023 season games.
